Meet Joseph Hartley-Palmer

Joseph Hartley-Palmer is the Founder and Clinical Director of Norfolk Rehab Physio Ltd and a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist with extensive experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of adults with complex neurological conditions.

After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire, Joseph began his career at Cambridge University Hospitals (Addenbrooke’s Hospital), where he developed expertise across acute and specialist services before specialising in neurological rehabilitation. He has since worked across major trauma centres, community rehabilitation, outpatient services, intensive care and patients’ homes, supporting people with conditions including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Motor Neurone disease and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).

Alongside his clinical practice, Joseph is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia, where he teaches future physiotherapists and contributes to rehabilitation research. He holds an MSc in Clinical Research and is currently undertaking a PhD exploring innovative approaches to neurological rehabilitation. As an independent Physiotherapy Expert Witness, he also provides evidence-based reports for legal proceedings involving neurological and complex rehabilitation.

Joseph believes rehabilitation should be personalised, evidence-based and centred around the individual. Every treatment programme is tailored to help people maximise their independence, confidence and quality of life.
