Joseph Hartley-Palmer
Joseph is the founder and owner of Norfolk Rehab Physio. He qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire and began his clinical career at Cambridge University Hospitals (Addenbrooke’s), where he gained broad experience across all core areas of physiotherapy before specialising in neurological rehabilitation.
His career has taken him through a wide range of clinical settings, from major trauma centres to small community and island clinics. He has worked across intensive care, inpatient wards, outpatient services, and in people’s homes, giving him a deep and practical understanding of the complexities of rehabilitation and long-term recovery.
Joseph went on to complete an MSc in Clinical Research at the University of East Anglia and continues to pursue advanced professional development. This includes specialist training in the Bobath approach, a widely recognised framework for the assessment and treatment of people with neurological conditions, with a focus on improving movement, function, and independence. He is also currently undertaking a PhD focused on neurological rehabilitation and implementation, strengthening his commitment to translating high-quality research into real-world clinical practice.
Alongside his clinical work, Joseph is a Lecturer and Researcher, contributing to the education of future physiotherapists and helping to shape rehabilitation practice through research and innovation. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is an active member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology.
Joseph is passionate about delivering personalised, high-quality rehabilitation that supports people to achieve meaningful improvements in their mobility, confidence, and quality of life.
